Clinica Indisa inaugurated its new headquarters in the Maipú commune, a modern building spanning 43,000 square meters across eight floors and four underground levels. It is the first private high-complexity medical center in the commune and expects to serve more than 1 million people in its first year. As part of this project, we were tasked with creating the wayfinding strategy and implementing it.
The strategy was centered around the user, aiming to ensure a seamless and efficient journey through a functional navigation design that is easy to understand and universally recognizable. Architecture was leveraged to provide multiple supports with minimal information: simple and clear. We developed a new visual identity system with a color palette in line with the existing branding, a contemporary typeface with essential characteristics for good legibility, and an exclusive library of icons. We implemented vehicular signage both outside and in the underground levels, volumetric signage on the facade, all interior pieces including medical consultation identifiers, internal use signs, environmental graphics, directional signs, security graphics, directories, among others. The result was a very positive reception from both professionals and patients.
The correct identification of areas optimized operations and significantly facilitated orientation in the new establishment.
