Cardinale is an iconic footwear brand in Chile. It was founded in 1964 when the first store was opened in downtown Santiago. With a sustained growth, since the 90’s until today it has been consolidated as a family business, with a total of 17 stores, in addition to distributors and multi-store presence throughout the country.
We developed an architectural guideline according to the new image of the brand, based on the simplicity and transparency of its design. The materials, shapes and colors generate a space that invites the user to access and interact with the products; the furniture, colors and graphics respond to a classic/modern concept; it seeks to be light, simple and dynamic at the same time.
The large display window on the façade invites you to enter an open floor plan where the products and the Cardinale style stand out. The display system and supports are flexible, adapting to product changes and renovation. The layout of the store describes each of its elements, identifying from their location the focal points, the visual and functional relationships inside the store. The space is defined by a central element, this display unit coordinates the circulation and gravitation of the store around it, the side and back walls are intended for display, the latter also serves the function of sales.
